Second Grade Webpage
We have a great class this year -- 8 girls and 7 boys. In second
grade, we are learning to be fluent readers. We are also learning
to write stories, descriptive paragraphs, friendly letters and personal
narratives. We have a new math series K-3. It's called Everyday
Mathematics. Parents, please read all information that comes home
and keep it in your yellow "homework" folder. Thank you!
Newsletters
Every Friday, a newsletter is sent home. It includes the spelling
list and homework for the following week. It also tells about any
special events in our classroom.
READING |
Our reading series is Houghton Mifflin. It has some great stories in it. Our Spelling lessons go along with each unit. |
MATH |
We have Everyday Mathematics for Math. We use lots of hands-on activities to learn various math concepts. |
SCIENCE |
Our science lessons are Scott Foresman. We do lots of experiments. It is anintroduction to science concepts and the scientific process. |
