MY TOWN: Van Buren is located between Cape Girardeau and Springfield on Highway60.  The town sits on the beautiful Current River.  Here is a great place for any outdoor or water sports that one might want to pursue. Big Springs National Park is located just three miles away. This park hosts the largest natural spring in the United States.  Come by, see us and float the river.You're sure to have a splashing good time!

FAMILY LIFE

Amy: This is my oldest. She is 23 years old and lives in Poplar Bluff.
           She is afflicted with Down's Syndrome, but graduated from Poplar Bluff Senior High
          School.  She has made us very proud of her.

Tiffany: She graduated from Van Buren High School in l977.  She attended Southwest Mo.State University at West Plains for one year and then decided to try her wings.  She is now living in Colorado Springs, CO and is working for a computer company.  We miss her terribly!



        Breanna: She will be a senior at Van Buren High School, l998-99.  She is active in softball, cross country, cheer leading, Senior Beta Club, past president of VOICES-Drug Free Youth, Student Council member, Drum Major for marching band, plays alto saxophone and was manager for the boys Varsity and Junior Varsity Basketball Team 1997-98. She is employed at the Jolly Cone. Her hobbies are running, cruising town, hanging out with her best friend, Tarin (in about picture with her), and worrying her mom silly. :) She also likes to borrow and wear my old peace jewelry. She also likes to wear tie-dye clothes.


 
 


            Gabe:  He will be in 4th gras year, 1998-99. Gabe is a very active little boy.  He plays little league baseball and soccer. This year he will play on a 4th-5th grade basketball team. Basketball is his real love.  He is an ardent fan of Michael Jordan and Scottie Pippen.  His hobbies include sitting in Mr. Hager's (principal) office, trading sports cards with Mr. Hager, little league baseball, soccer, Boy Scouts, RA's-church youth group.  This year  he will play on the  4th and 5th grade basketball team. It is no secret that basketball is his true love.  He is a clothes fanatic and wears anything with Bulls or Nike logo.



 


We share our lives with three cats - Little Bit, Putz, and Flower

We also have one dog - Lucky.  She got her name because she is lucky to have a home!!
Would you like to be lucky too and give her soon to be born puppies a nice home????

HOBBIES:

        I still like to listen to Pink Floyd, although I do like to listen to Country Music, Classical
        Music, Gospel, and 60's and 70's music.

        Chocolate is my favorite food and coffee is my favorite drink.  My colleagues and
        students know where to find me - they just follow the coffee splashes on the floor!!


        I also enjoy a good book, horseback riding, cooking when i have time, and traveling
        with my children. However,
