So it is your Senior year and you have a million things to do, right?
The following planning calendar might help you stay on track as you prepare for college.

| Review your career plans. Decide which school is right
for you.
Request admission information and school catalogs. Review the schools' web sites. Start developing a financial plan for college. |
Plan a visit to your college options. Many have days
set aside for incoming freshman.
Ask teachers, employers, and counselor for letters of recommendation to include with your applications. Sign up for the ACT. |
Take the ACT.
Work on admission essays. Have teachers proof and help you modify.

Pick up a FAFSA form in the Career Counseling Office of your
High School. Do NOT submit prior to Jan 1st! Make a copy of
the form after you complete it for your records.

Submit your FAFSA form after Jan 1st. You can complete
the form online. Keep a copy for your records.
Ask your parents to file their tax forms as soon as possible. The information may be needed for scholarships. |

Rank your preferred schools. Ask for a working copy of your transcript from your HS. Turn in local scholarship applications. Watch for deadlines. |

Watch the mail for acceptance letters from colleges.
Make your final school decision. Notify any school who accepted you, but you are not planning to attend. Watch for deadlines from your college. (housing, courses, financial aid, etc.) |
