The Athena Book Program 

The Athena book program is a program used in our library to keep track of book its a tool that helps our librarian's job simple and easy it shows what book is being checked out and it shows who has the book, and when the book was checked out. the librarian can also look at a persons record and see who has what books checked out it can be a life saver to some librarians it can do a check on all the books the library has in and who has book out and be printed off so that the student would be able to see what books would be needing return it can also be used by students to let them know where the the book may be found if its not checked out 

 

The library is used by elementary and high school students

Accelerated Reader 

or A.R.

Accelerated reader is a program that lets students earn points each student  has a set amount of points they must reach according to there reading ability and if so much percent is achieved students are given awards such as kickball tournaments to pizza parties there is also an A.R. store where items like toys and treats can be purchased with A.R. each book has a certain amount of points that can be earned for getting every test question right it is a great way to get kids to pick up the books and get to taking the test the kids like it and it gets them to reading the books its a computerized test given over a book that is an A.R. book for A.R. points a a list of books can be found by clicking the following hyperlink
