Activities of the month
September
Kindergarten, First and Second Grades
Inspired by Navajo Indian Blankets we have made repeated patterns using color, shape and line.
From construction paper we created make believe birds with comical faces traced from a scissor tracing.
Third and Fourth Grades
Working with overlapped shapes we made interesting crayon drawings, then drew our names using bubble letters and filled in the overlapping shapes with contrasting colors.
Fifth and Sixth Grades
Studied the Elements of Art and then created a optical illusion line design with markers.
We are learning to draw using contour line drawing technique.
