COMPREHENSIVE
SCHOOL IMPROVEMENT PERFORMANCE OBJECTIVES
Starting
with the 1998-99 school year, the identified performance objectives will be the
focus
of
the Comprehensive School Improvement Plan for the Seymour R-II School District
for the next five years.
Based
upon the internal/external analysis and district objectives in the areas of
academic achievement, reading achievement, educational persistence, career
preparation, facilities
improvement,
and expanded technology, the following performance objectives have been
identified for the Comprehensive School Improvement Plan (CSIP).
1.
The average daily attendance will be 95% or higher
2.
The district's annual dropout rate will be reduced to 4% or less
3.
The district will implement reading programs to insure elementary
children
can read at or above their grade level
4.
The district's student mastery rates will increase in the top two quintiles
and
decrease in the lowest two quintiles relative to MMA T I MAP scoring
5.
The district will maintain or improve the percentage of graduates scoring
at
or above the national average on ACT I SAT,
6. The district will increase the knowledge, problem-solving, and performance of students in the use of computer skills and experiences for grades K-12
