TRANSPORTATION. . .
Students and parents should cooperate with the bus driver by being at the assigned pickup point promptly when the bus arrives.  With the number of students that must be picked up, it would be impossible to maintain a schedule if the bus were forced to wait at each stopping point.

Students riding the bus must be courteous and promptly obey the driver.  They will refrain from littering.  They will stay in the assigned seat and keep hands, hair and feet inside the bus.  They will not, in any way, be destructive nor allow their conduct to disrupt the driver.  Students who refuse to follow the basic rules WILL BE SUSPENDED FROM RIDING THE BUS.

The school district contracts busing services from Lynn and Paula Morehead and Gale Webb.  If you need assistance with bus transportation services, please call Alvin Elbert at 417-776-5002.

STUDENT CONDUCT ON SCHOOL BUSES . . .
While the school district furnishes transportation, it does not relieve parents or students from the responsibility of supervision before the child leaves the bus at the end of the school day.

Parents can assist a great deal in keeping their children safe on the school bus by insisting that their children seat themselves promptly on the bus, stay seated while the bus is moving and conduct themselves in such a manner that the school bus driver can devote his or her time to the task of driving the bus through the traffic in the area.

In cases when a child does not conduct himself properly on a bus, such instances are to be brought to the attention of the building principal by the bus driver.

Children who become a serious disciplinary problem on the school bus may have their riding privileges suspended by the principal.  In such cases, the parents of the children involved become responsible for seeing that their children get to and from school safely.
