The following guidelines were shared by teachers, parents, and students at vision planning meetings. |

Teachers view themselves as knowledgeable, prepared, organized and focused. Teachers believe in guiding the students and motivating them to learn.
Guide students By following school rules: dress, punctuality, and professionalism By establishing classroom rules, consequences, and rewards By teaching grade level expectations and curriculum objectives By helping students to develop coping skills By providing a solid academic foundation By building on student strengths and helping to develop positive character traits By focusing on correction, rather than criticism
Motivate students By forgiving students for inappropriate actions By providing student recognition and equal opportunity By publishing a classroom newsletter By focusing on improvement and creating high expectations By making learning fun and interesting By providing positive reinforcement and removing competition By being aware of the importance of self-concept, self-worth, and self-esteem By offering students an environment of acceptance By valuing and rewarding children

Parents are the most important model for the child. A parent is one who develops a positive self-concept for their child. They share responsibility for improving student achievement. Parents build and develop a partnership to help their child achieve academic success. They develop and implement an effective parenting plan which creates an environment that is conducive to educational success.
Provide positive self-concept By taking the time with their child to visit about each day's school experiences By taking time to review their child's daily work in an encouraging manner By praising good behavior and giving pats on the back By training the child to use positive life skills
Share responsibility for improving student achievement By communicating mutual responsibility for academic achievement By training the child to be responsible and self disciplined By encouraging responsibilities at home By recognizing that teachers are not infallible
Build and develop a partnership to help children achieve academic success By showing support for school personnel and making school attendance a priority By participating in before and after school programs

Board of Education views themselves as the overseeing body for employing top professionals in the administrative field. They are the governing body delegating administrative powers to the superintendent of schools. The board believes in the Mathew principal which teachers that if a brother has a problem with a brother the problem should be brought first to that brother for resolution. (Chain of Command)
Commitment The board should be unified with common goals for the school district.
The board should discourage nepotism.
Responsibility
The board sets policy. Day to day operations are the responsibility of
the administration.
Members can act officially only in sessions officially called.
