All About Me  

Hi, my name is Penny Green and I am the reading teacher here at Richwoods R-VII and have been teaching here since 2002.  In 2006, I received training in the Reading Recovery Program.  In this program, I learned strategies to work one-on-one with students in reading.  Currently, we are not using this program, but the strategies learned have proved invaluable to my small groups. 

I love to read books so being able to teach reading and work with small groups of students has been a blessing.  This is truly the perfect job for me! 

Besides looking forward every day to teaching, I look forward to spending time with my family.  My husband and I have been married for 16 years.  We adopted a child on July 10, 2006.  Our son is 10 years old now and his name is Johnathon Wayne Green.  We are very excited about having him as part of our family.
