We had a great meeting on September 25th and came away with many ideas to share with our colleagues.

We discussed the importance of talking with students about their MAP scores and determining their strengths and weaknesses. This will help students see how the test is relevant to them. There's a link below that discusses test interpretation.

Remember when discussing the MAP with your colleagues to promote the use of open-ended constructed response questions and to offer students the objectives of lessons to encourage higher level thinking skills in place of study guides that support the recall of facts.
