In order for students
to succeed as learners and in testing situations, its imperative that they
comprehend the types of questions that they will encounter on assessments
and be able to respond effectively. One way to ensure that students
understand these questions, especially open-ended constructed response
questions; is for the students to be able to create these questions themselves.
This process allows students to see the relationship between questions,
how they are to be answered and whether knowledge or facts are being tested.
This in turn will help students to become better learners who can express
their knowledge effectively.
