Coca-Cola Scholars -
The electronic
application for the Coca-Cola Scholars Program is available online at http://www.coca-colascholars.org/. The scholarship was established by the
Coca-Cola Scholars Foundation and awards 250 achievement-based scholarships each
year. Recipients are well-rounded
individuals with highly developed interests in their community. Applicants are evaluated on the
following: demonstrated leadership
in school; commitment to community; academic achievement; and part-time
employment. Applications must be submitted online by
October 31, 2007.

National Wild Turkey
Federation Conservation Scholarship – This will be a one-time scholarship
worth at least $250 to be presented by the Cooper County Limbhangers NWTF
Chapter. The local winner will be
eligible to win a state level scholarship worth an additional $1000. To be eligible, students should be
graduating seniors with a 3.0 GPA; be pursuing a degree at an accredited
institution of higher education; support the preservation of the hunting
tradition and actively participate in hunting sports and hold a current hunting
license; and involved in school activities. Note: the application and information sheet
states the applicant must have a current hunting license and must be a member of
the NWTF JAKES program. The hunting
license is required at the time of the application, but if the applicant is not
a member of the JAKES program the Cooper County Limbhangers Chapter will provide
this membership. Completed applications are due to Mrs. Baer
on December 1, 2007.

Burger King Scholars
Program – The 2008 Burger King Scholars Program will award up to 700
scholarships to be used for educational expenses such as tuition fees and books,
during the first year of college or post-secondary vocational/technical
school. To be eligible, students
must maintain a cumulative grade point average of 2.5 or higher; work part-time
an average of 15 hours per week, 40 weeks per year; be actively involved in
community service activities; demonstrate financial need; and plan to enroll in
an accredited two- or four-year college, university, or vocational/technical
school by Fall of the application year.

Scholarship – Sam M. Walton Scholarships in Business are awarded to incoming
freshmen and current college students majoring in economics, finance,
international business, management, or marketing at the MU
Robert J. Trulaske, Sr. Scholarship – Robert J. Trulaske, Sr. Scholarships in Business are awarded to
students pursuing degrees from MU’s
Cooper County Nursing
District Scholarship – This $1000 scholarship will be awarded to a

Lillie Lois Ford
Scholarship Fund – Two awards of $1000 each are given each year. One award to a boy who
has attended a full session of The American Legion Boys State of
Missouri. The second award
is given to a girl who has attended a full session of The American Legion
Auxiliary’s
M.D. “Jack” Murphy
Memorial Nurses Training Fund – Currently one $750 award is given for two
successive semesters, and may, by application, be extended for two additional
successive semesters. This award is
available to a

Scholarship – Five awards of $500 are given annually to individuals who are
descendants of a veteran. Applicant
must have attended a full session of The American Legion Boys State or The
American Legion Auxiliary Girls State program. Applicants must be unmarried, under the
age of 21, a current resident of the state of
Charles L. Bacon
Memorial Scholarship – Two awards of $500 are given annually in memory of
the first Missourian to serve as National Commander of The American Legion. Eligible are individuals who are
currently members of The American Legion, the American Legion Auxiliary, or the
Sons of The American Legion, or a descendant of a member of any thereof. Applicants must be unmarried and under
the age of 21, and must use the scholarship as a full-time student in an
accredited college or university and a resident of
Erman W. Taylor Memorial Scholarship – Two
$500 awards are given annually to a student planning on obtaining a degree in
education, in honor of this Past National Executive Committeeman from
Shane Dean Voyles Memorial Scholarship – One $500 award will be
awarded, annually. (1) Each school
in the State of
Robert C. Byrd Honors
Scholarship – To be eligible to receive a scholarship under the Robert C.
Byrd Honors Scholarship in
*This scholarship is for students who will be freshmen and may be renewed
three times for a total of four years.
Students must be legal residents of
*Must be accepted by fall 2008 for enrollment at an institution of higher education.
*Must present evidence that he/she received a test score at or above the
90th percentile on the ACT during a scheduled administration after
*Must provide senior year transcripts that provide GPA and class rank of high school graduating class in the case of a regularly enrolled high school senior.
*Must file with the institution he/she intends to attend a statement of registration status certifying the he/she is registered with the selective service or that, for a specified reason, he/she is not required to be registered. (These forms will be sent to those individuals receiving the scholarship.)
*Complete the blank requesting the “congressional district number of residence” on the application.

Urban Flight and
Rural Needs Scholarship Program – This program provides scholarships to
eligible students who enter a teacher education program and make a commitment to
teach as a condition of receiving such scholarship. The scholarship covers the total cost of
eligible students’ tuition and fees up to four years, at a four-year college or
university located in

*Be a resident of
*Be a high school senior, a college freshman or sophomore, or returning adult student at a community college or at a four-year college or university in Missouri, or
*Be an individual who has graduated from a Missouri high school with a cumulative grade point average of 2.5 on a four-point scale or equivalent, or
*Be an individual who has completed 30 college hours and has a cumulative grade point average of 2.5, or
*Be an individual with a baccalaureate degree and has a cumulative grade point average of 2.5 who is returning to an approved teacher education program.
