SPANISH DEPARTMENT
Spanish I
Prerequisite: None
Grades: 9, 10, 11, 12
In this course, the emphasis is on speaking, understanding, and writing Spanish,
in addition to studying Spanish culture. Basic conversational and written
Spanish skills will be used daily within the classroom.

Spanish II
(Weighted)
Prerequisite: Spanish I
Grades: 10, 11, 12
This course is a continuation of Spanish I with increasing vocabulary and
grammatical usage, in addition to the extended study of Spanish culture. Upon
completion of the course, the students will be able to speak, read and write
about practically any topic using Spanish language. Projects include
writing scripts for a taped "News" program and writing weekly stories for the
class newspaper.
