ELEMENTARY HIGHLIGHTS

 

Welcome to Pattonsburg R-II Elementary!! Our

elementary houses Preschool through Sixth grade.

School hours are from 8:15 a.m to 3:14 p.m.

Breakfast is served daily, to those interested, beginning

at 7:50 a.m. All visitors are asked to sign in at the

office before proceeding to a classroom.

 

Children who will be five by August 1st are eligible for

Kindergarten. Kindergarten students attend school for

a full day. Students must complete Kindergarten

screening prior to attending.

 

Students in 1st through 6th grades are taught in

self-contained classrooms. One exception is that 5th

and 6th grades do switch for Social Studies and

Science. The classroom curriculum consists of reading,

phonics, language arts, writing, spelling, math, science,

and social studies. All students Kindergarten through

6th grade have special classes in library, music, art,

and physical education. Our 5th and 6th grade

students also have band.

 

Messages for the elementary staff can be left with

the attendance secretary and will be returned during

his/her planning time. I ask that parents do not call

into the classrooms. We try to protect our

instructional time to benefit our students.
