Overview
The Missouri schoolweb project will provide schools with the server support they need to build their own electronic educational environments. The project will provide selected schools with accounts and space on a server so that they can create their own homepages and instructional applications. The project will also be an educational consortium for sharing development ideas and experiences. It will also link schoolweb schools with local, regional and state professional development and training resources.

As part of its work with the Missouri Department of Elementary and Secondary Education The Office of Social and Economic Data Analysis (OSEDA) is offering space on one of its computing systems to Missouri public school districts that are interested in creating their own electronic learning environments. As part of this project OSEDA will provide:

  • Up to 20 system accounts for teachers and students
  • Design and online support services - we support Microsoft FrontPage!
  • Collaborative support with DESE and MOREnet through Project Connect
  • System and Internet training including WWW design and development
  • Collaborative support with Missouri Regional Professional Development Centers
  • Support for development of SchoolWeb consortiums
If you're interested both an application and agreement are available for you to view.

We have modeled our Missouri "SchoolWeb" project after The Corporation For Public Broadcasting (CPB) K-12 Internet Testbed and SchoolWeb concepts discussed on EDWEB.
