A challenge! This group of children could never resist a challenge. After a short discussion, they reviewed what the riddle said they must do. First, each child must choose a different story to read. Then they would all compare and contrast the stories they read, to find similarities and differences in them. Finally they would each write their own tale in a similar style, to share with the others in the group. This sounded like fun. Running to the shelves, they each selected a book and eagerly opened to the first story. Please form a group with four interested readers, and join these children in their challenge!

reflected on golden shelves that reached to the ceiling. The
shelves were virtually empty, except for a thick layer of
dust and several books placed carefully on the lower
shelves. The children noticed the same riddle attached to
