ach part of the task had been completed and the children were very tired, but proud of their accomplishments! They stood up stretching and yawning, when suddenly the floor began to quiver and shake. The children had never felt an earthquake, but they were sure that was what they were feeling now. The trembling of the building caused them to tumble to the ground and they lost grip of the stories they had just completed. The air filled with dust so thick that the children were blinded as they tried to make their way back to the entry doors.

As suddenly as the trembling had begun, it stopped. The startled children stared in amazement at what they now saw. The room was clear of dust, undamaged panes of glass sparkled in the windows, and the golden shelves that stretched to the ceiling were lined with books. Beautiful, rich carpet covered the floors and large oak tables with comfortable, inviting chairs stood in the beams of sunshine. On the oak tables were the stories each child had written, published and bound neatly into the most beautiful books. Finally the children ran for the entry doors and looked at the letters that were once arranged on the ground. The letters had returned to their original place above the doorway and proudly spelled out the word: LIBRARY. The building was again a library full of entertaining and interesting things to read, and the tales these children had created were now a part of this library.
