Each member of your team will be responsible for developing one section of The Fantastic Flag Company's publication. Before you begin writing however, research must be done to make sure your publication contains accurate information. Ms Awayougo is very patriotic and is quite particular about that facts that will be included.
Your two week deadline is not far away! Everyone on your team will be researching the topics in each section. It is important that your team get started on this publication today. The following information will guide you in creating your book.
Your research may be complete, but do you really know enough to begin writing this important booklet? Ms Awayougo requires each of you to pass this test before you begin the writing process. Report your score to your supervisor before you begin writing.

Upon passing the test, gather your team to compile the facts you have learned. As a team, decide on one person to write each section, and one to design the cover. Cover design and publication information is included to guide this person. Ideas from every group member must be included in the section you write. Remember to use correct sentence and paragraph form. Print a copy of this graphic organizer to help you plan your page. (When printing this, set the orientation to landscape rather than portrait.) You will use the steps in the writer's workshop process to complete this publication. Are you writing information that will please Ms Awayougo? Your final product will be a book with at least one page for each section. The information on these pages will be typed and printed. You may include one picture on each page to enhance your publication. When every page is printed and organized you will have it bound, and delivered to Ms Awayougo. She will be glad to see your finished product.
