There are many different types of nurses some are for babies, some are for ears, some are for feet. Some people specialize in one area but can still work on the entire body. For an example there might be a specialized heart doctor but if things don't work out for him/her, than him/her could do physicals or something else. They can do this becuase they have to have a degree to build on.

If you want to you could always take little steps if you want to become a nurse than a nurse praticiner it is possible. You can build on the degrees you already have or just go back to refresh them.
