English Literature is a yearlong class which fulfills a part of the requirements for the College Preparatory Certificate. It is best suited for seniors, but highly motivated juniors can succeed in the class. It is especially advantageous for students wanting to attend college.

American Literature is a yearlong class which fulfills the language arts requirements for graduation. It is open to juniors and seniors and is especially well suited for students planning to attend college.

English II is a yearlong class. The course work includes studies of literature, various forms of writing grammar skills, and a research paper utilizing a standardized form such MLA.
Course: Advanced Composition
Teacher: Nancy Archer
Advanced Composition is a yearlong class for seniors and, in some cases, juniors who are highly motivated and want extra practice in various forms of composition which will prepare them for college. The class offers an opportunity for seniors who have met specific standards to earn three hours of English III Composition credit through NWMSU. These standards are set by the Department of English at the university.
