I have always taught my fourth grade classes about Indians of Missouri with very teacher-directed, dull lessons.  Tasks for the students did not promote higher-order thinking and did not encourage long-term retention of the material.  This WebQuest was designed to meet my district's curriculum and The Show-Me Standards, while being hands-on, student-centered, and inquiry based.  It is motivating and will provide for individual differences in the classroom.
