Any surplus is issued to students by check to pay books, supplies and other educational costs. CO jobs involve no more than 15 hours of work per week during the fall and spring semesters in various campus offices and departments.   Depending on the position and the needs fo the student, a CO student may be able to work up to 40 hours per week during the summer session and during times when classes are not in session.  The hourly wage is $8.00. During a one-year period, CO awards (scholarships and jobs combined) may not exceed $10,000; and the work component may not exceed 1000 hours during the calendar year (January 1 to December 31).
