Educational Background
I graduated from Southeast Missouri State
University with a B.S. in Elementary Education. I later received
a Masters of Arts degree from SEMO, also in Elementary Education.
Teaching Experience
This is my 19th year teaching in the Leopold
R-III School District. I taught fourth grade for five years, and
have been teaching sixth grade for the remainder of the time. I also
serve as co-sponsor for the Leopold Beta Club.
This is my 13th year to have the privilege of working with the Beta Club.
Class Schedule for 2005-06
Homework
I do not assign homework for homework's sake.
Students are given class time to complete assignments. They will
need to study for tests and occasionally work on projects at home.
However, if they use class time wisely, the amount of homework should be
minimal. Also, before every test, students will have some type of
study materials to use to prepare for tests. These study materials
may be notes, reviews, study guides, or textbook sections.
Family
I have been married for 22 years and have 4 children.
Other Interests/Hobbies
I love sports! Baseball, softball, volleyball,
and basketball are my favorites. I love to watch the Cardinals play.
I also enjoy watching my children on their respective teams.
If any free time can be found, I enjoy oil painting,
crafts, scrap booking, and other projects.
Memorable Events
My wedding, birth of my children, accomplishments
of my children, and special "teaching" memories, which always include special
students.
