Educational Background
I attended school at Bell City R-II. After graduation, I majored in Secondary Education with my emphasis in English at Southeast Missouri State University. Currently, I am enrolled in the Educational Studies and Elementary and Secondary Administration master's programs at SEMO.
 

Teaching Experience
 I began my teaching career at Leopold and will be starting my third year.

 Plans for this year
 My plan for my students this year is to be ready for the 21st century by  learning critical thinking and problem solving, communication, collaboration, and creativity and innovation.
 

Family
  I am happily married to Jason going on ten years. We have two children: Gabe, 8, and Sydney, 6. We also have our crazy cat, Katty.
 

Other Interests/Hobbies
  I enjoy reading, photography, scrapbooking, traveling, singing, and just relaxing.
 

Organizations (professional/community)
  I am a member of the Southeast Missouri English Teacher's Association. I also teach Sunday school and am a member on my church's youth team.
 
 

Memorable Events
 
  The birth of my children was quite the memorable event in addition to our vacation this year cruising to Cozumel, Mexico.
