Educational Background
I am a graduate of Leopold High School.  I received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Education from Southeast Missouri State University.  I later received a Masters of Education Degree in Family/Consumer Sciences.  I have attended the summer Business Education workshops at Southeast for the past ten years.

Teaching Experience
I have taught business and some family/consumer science classes at Leopold School for 25+ years.  When the business classes began using computers, most of my classes became computer application classes.  I have also taught adult night classes in computer applications.
I sponsor the Business Club here and also co-sponsor the Pep Club.

Class Schedule for this year:

• lst hour:       Prep
• 2nd hour:    Business Technology (11th grade)
• 3rd hour:    Keyboarding (5th and 7th grades)
• 4th hour:    Technology
• 5th hour:    Computer Applications I (9th grade)
• 6th hour:    Advanced Computers (10th grade)
• 7th hour:    Personal Finance/Health (12th grade)

Homework
If students use their classtime, they can usually complete their assignments during that time.  When students are absent, they will  have to stay after school if they do not have computers at home for the makeup.

Family
My husband, Greg, and I have been married for 41 years.  We have three children:

• Vicki, married Peter Robben.  They live in St. Charles, Mo.  Vicki teaches math at Pattonville High School.  Pete works with Enterprise Car Rental.  They have two daughters, Jenna and Anna.
• Steve, married Tonika Smith.  They live in Jackson, Mo.  Steve is finishing a doctrate program at Southern Illinois Univerisity and hopes to return to teaching Finance at Southeast University.  Tonika is a registered nurse and works weekends at Southeast Hospital.  They have three sons:  Carter, Tyler, and Parker.
• Beth, graduated from Southeast in May, 2003, with a degree in Agribusiness.  She is employed at Bollinger County Co-op.  She is engaged to Jim McClain, and they plan to be married in the fall of 2008.

• Horse Shows:  Beth has been showing Tennessee Walking horses for the past 10 years.  We attend a show nearly every weekend during the summer.  We win some events and lose others, but it is fun to watch her compete.  Greg also competes occasionally.
• Scrapbooking:  I have just recently become interested in scrapbooking.  I hope to make a book for each of my grandchildren.
• Country music:  I enjoy listening to country music and watching CMT.  My favorite singer is George Strait.  He has had more #1 records (54) than any other recording artist.  I try to attend at least one of his concerts each year.  Other favorite artists include Alan Jackson, Kenny Chesney, and Brad Paisley.

Memorable Events
Family--Our wedding, the birth of our children and grandchildren.
              Family vacations and holiday get-togethers.

School--Winning the StateVolleyball Championships in 1993, 1997, and 2002
              Watching our school progress from an unclassified district in the 1960's to a fully accreddited district
               which also received the Distinction in Performance Award from the State Department in 2002, 2003,
               2004,  2005, and 2006.

Church--Working with the Religious Education, Teen Encounter Christ, and Confirmation Preparation programs.
