Beta Breakfast | Beta Raffles | Cupid Grams | St. Judes 50/50 Raffle | Links

Every year, our Beta members do many things to raise money for the trip to the State Convention.  Some of these things include:

The breakfast menu includes foods like ham and sausage, eggs, biscuits and gravy, and pancakes, as well as coffee and juice to drink.  Everything is prepared by the Beta members.  This year, we are holding two breakfasts, one in the fall and one in the spring, so we can pay for all of our members to go to convention.

Beta raffles are sold prior to each breakfast.  People in the community donate the prizes, such as a hand-made quilt, a painting by a local artist, or an Avon basket.  Each member sells a certain number of raffles before the breakfast, and the tickets can also be purchased that morning.

As Valentines Day draws near, Beta members begin selling Cupid-Grams.  Each card or song can be purchased during lunch for high school and junior high students, or through the classroom teachers for elementary students.  For a little extra, the students can also pick which Beta member will lead the song.  Then on Valentines Day, Beta members deliver the cards and songs to the lucky students.

At home high school basketball games each year, Beta members volunteer to sell raffle tickets for the St. Jude 50/50 Raffle.  During half-time of the varsity game, a first, second, and third prize winner is called.  Each winner gets a portion of the money brought in, with the remainder of the money being donated to St. Jude's Hospital.
