There are seven clubs which are available to Leopold students. These include the Beta, Business, Pep, Science Fair, Concert Choir, Photography Club, and the Student Activities Council. Many students are also involved in our sports programs.
Beta
Club: Our Beta Club is available to
students who are on the honor roll throughout their high school years.
Students can become Beta members when they are sophomores. Invitation
to become a member is based on academic achievement and character
development during the freshmen year. Each year the Beta members
attend the State Beta Convention.
Business
Club: The Business Club
gives the students a chance to explore different business opportunities
in the work force. They take one trip a year to a place of their
interest.
Pep Club:The Pep Club is available to all high school students who want to pep up the sports teams. The Pep Club has a pizza party after the last home game of the volleyball and basketball seasons. They also attend as many games as possible to cheer the teams to victory. The Pep Club officers plan the Homecoming coronation. Students must be Pep Club members to vote for Mr. Varsity and Homecoming Queen.
Science Fair Club: The Science Fair Club consists of Junior High students who want to get involved with science and create hands on projects. They display their projects at a Science Fair near the end of the school year.
Concert
Choir
:
The
Concert Choir is a music group offered to high school students. A
few junior high students may also be accepted to the choir through auditions.
They practice singing during lunch breaks and after school. These
students sing for events during the school year such as concerts, PTO programs,
and before home ballgames.
Student Activities
Council: Three students from each high school
class are elected to the Student Activities Council each year. Their
main project is to plan the Christmas party at the end of the first semester.
They can also decided to do other projects and activities. In recent
years they have sponsored a Harvest Dance for high school students.
Photography Club: The Photography Club is for students in grades 5-12 and faculty/staff who are interested in improving their skills in photography. They try to meet once a month on Friday and/or Saturday. Mrs. Mary Rowe, the librarian, sponsors this club.
