Homework
What can I say? I'm going to  assign it. Students need to have it done on time (usually the next morning).

We will have math homework almost nightly. English homework is more sporadic. Students need to keep up with SRC reading, spelling tests, and vocabulary tests on their own, though.

If you get stuck or forget something, call a friend or call me (573-579-1099). I'm more than happy to help if I can.

Family
My husband and I married in June of 1997, and moved to Slidell, LA, because he was stationed in New Orleans with the Coast Guard. There's really no place like home, so we moved back in 1998 when he got out of the military.

Our son was born in September of 2001, just days before the 9/11 attacks. He has become the center of our lives. I am forever amazed at all the things he's learning and the things that he comes up with to say. He has developed quite a sense of humor and keeps us cracking up most of the time.

Other Interests/Hobbies
I love to read, which probably lead to my becoming an English teacher. I used to sneak a flashlight to bed with me when I was a kid so I could read under the covers so my parents wouldn't yell at me to go to sleep. I read as much as I can now, but I don't have as much time (or spare energy).

I enjoy watching some basketball (76er's and Kentucky Wildcats) and football (Dallas Cowboys and St. Louis Rams). My husband is so into basketball that we pay for the NBA channels every year so he can get all the information on all his favorite teams.

Oh, and I can't forget movies, shopping, and eating out, my husband's three favorite family activities.
