Course Requirements

The student will be expected to 1) Learn and understand the language of psychology 2) Learn the scientific basis of psychology 3) Identify and differentiate between the major theories of psychology 4) Understand the relevance of psychology to human concerns, and develop an informal appreciation of others and of themselves

Course Description

This course is an introduction to the scientific study of behavior and experience with emphasis on the experimental method, the brain, motivation, emotion, memory, social psychology, development, theories of personality, psychological disorders and treatment.
