Mixed  Ensemble

Offered to grades 10,11,12
     This course is designed to offer the choir student an extended experience in vocal literature and is intended to provide an enhancement to--not in place of--the student's other choir activities.  This is a public performance group to perform at community and school functions.  Course will provide serious vocal students an opportunity to perform literature not included in the curriculum of the larger choir group.  Students need to understand that rehearsals, contests, and concerts are a part of class and failure to attend these may reflected on their grades.
PREREQUISITE:  Successful audition by instructor required.  Open only to sophomores, juniors and seniors who are currently enrolled in Mixed Choir.  Rehearsals and concerts outside of class time are a part of this course.  Students enrolled are expected to attend all rehearsals, concerts, and contests.

     The mixed choir is a public performance group that will meet for the entire year.  This group will compete in various contests including all-district and all-state competitions.  Further emphasis is placed on performance.  Rehearsals and concerts are outside of class time are a part of this course.  Students enrolled are expected to attend all rehearsals, concerts, and contests.  Students need to understand that rehearsals, contests, and concerts are a part of the class and failure to attend these will reflect in their grade.
PREREQUISITE:  Open to all sophomore. junior and senior students only upon successful audition with an instructor.  Full year courses.  Open to all students out of specified grade levels with instructor's approval.

Offered To Girls Grades 10,11,12
     Public performance group that meets for the entire year.  Treble choir is intended to provide an added dimension and alternative to the mixed choir program. Students are offered an opportunity to broaden their musicianship through examination of treble literature.  Students need to understand that rehearsals, contests, and concerts are apart of the class and failure to attend these may be reflected on their grade.
PREREQUISITE:  Open to sophomore, junior and senior students who are capable of performing literature written for treble voices only (soprano and alto), and who successfully  audition with the instructor. Open to students of specified grade levels with instructors approval.  Rehearsals and concerts outside of class time are a pat of this course.
