We are committed to provide an educational program and environment that will meet individual student’s academic, social, and emotional needs. All students are encouraged to reach their
potential.

 Goals

The goals of the Elsberry R-II Public School District are:

To guarantee all students an environment conducive to learning the academic, social, and cultural skills and knowledge necessary for each individual to achieve their fullest desired potential in a changing society.

To facilitate opportunities for all individuals to improve themselves intellectually, culturally, socially, and economically.

To prepare students to be proud, productive citizens of the 21st Century.

Beliefs

We believe that:

All people have equal, inherent worth.

All people have the right to be treated with dignity and respect.

Each person is responsible for himself/herself and how his/her actions affect others.

High self-esteem promotes personal achievement.

Support of the family is beneficial for the optimal development of the individual.

All individuals deserve the opportunity to pursue their positive aspirations and be successful.

All people can learn.

Desire for knowledge directly affects the quality of life.

Optimal achievement requires risk-taking and effort.

Satisfaction in personal accomplishment is related to the investments made.

There is dignity and value in learning and work.

Honesty is an essential factor in all-human relationships.

Competition is inevitable, but cooperation produces greater results.

Learning is not preparation for life, but a vital and continual part of life.
