On-going fundraisers add enthusiasm to our cause!

In addition to donations from member-partners, Elsberry's students have participated in many fundraisers.

At September's Fall Festival, F.O.E.L. sponsored a Book-and-Bake Sale Booth, netting $95 in contributions.

October's fundraisers included the raffling of a Tastefully Simple basket of delicious delights and the gathering of loose change.  The latter event became known as The Penny Wars.  Students in first hour classes, grades 7-12, contributed coins and dollar bills as a way of competing and showing their desire for improvements in technology to be made available through the Secondary Library.  Total collected from both events rounded to $1900.  Amazing!

Prior to the Holiday Shopping Scholastic Book Fair, community members were asked to purchase Half-a-Buck Book Tags as displayed in area businesses.  Proceeds from the Book Tag sales netted $220.  When the Book Fair arrived, the funds were spent on new books for the library.  Along with the profits from the Book Fair, the proceeds provided $1300 worth of both fiction and non-fiction books.

With Christmas fast approaching, students were interested in purchasing holiday greetings in the form of Santa-Grams - jolly messages delivered to their friends with candy canes attached.  Total sales reached $105.

We have miles to go before we reach our initial goal, but thanks to the generosity of our school personnel, students, and community, we are seeing progress.  We welcome any contributions which can be made on behalf of our continuing efforts.
