The Friends of Elsberry Literacy was established as a non-profit organization in 2007 as a means of providing additional support for the underserved citizens of our town. 

F.O.E.L. members invest their time in writing grants for financial assistance and literacy materials - as well as soliciting funds from corporations and the general public.

All materials and funding are channeled to the development of literacy-building programs for local citizens.

F.O.E.L. volunteers include business owners, educators, students, and family members of Elsberry and the surrounding rural community.
