Journalism

The yearbook staff puts together the yearbook.  They spend 1 class hour during school and most come back during different classes and try to work on it.  They put a lot of time and hard work into it.  They have deadlines to meet and when they don't meet their deadlines then that automatically puts them behind for their next deadline.  The first 2 to 3 weeks of class they go and sell ads to the businesses in town and personal ads for seniors.  They sell these ads to help with the cost of the yearbook and also provides advertisement for businesses.

Some people might ask " how do you get to be in Journalism?" Well, 1st you have to have had Desktop Publishing I and requested Desktop Publishing II.  Then the advisor, Mrs. Rawlings, selects approximately 20 students she knows can do the job.  During the year if a student does not demonstrate dependability and hard work, the advisor can remove them from the staff.
