After working for the Missouri
Department of Health for 15 years, I returned to college to complete my
Bachelor of Science Degree in Education. I completed my student teaching at
California Elementary School and began my teaching career at Latham
Elementary where I taught Communication Arts and Social Studies in grades
5-8. I currently teach 7th grade Civics, 8th grade
American History, 6th Grade Ancient History, 7th and 8th
grade Economics and 6th grade Communication Arts here at
Clarksburg C-II.
I am a single mother of four
children. My oldest son, Glenn, is 22 and is a journeyman electrician in Kansas; my
daughter, Janelle, is a sophomore at Lincoln University; Garret is a
Freshman at California High School; and my youngest son, Gunner, is in the
fifth grade at California Elementary.
My hobbies include flower and
vegetable gardening, traveling, quilting, and spending time with family and
friends. While teaching is my chosen profession, it is also something I do
from the heart. I have my own four children, but I also consider my school
kids and coworkers my second family.
