Testing Week Begins
| Every spring the district must administer
state testing. Testing will begin this year April 14 and testing will end
April 24th. It is very important to your child, as well as the school, that
you support this activity. You can help your child do their best and earn a
field trip privilege by doing the following things: Make sure your child gets plenty of rest during the week of the test. Make sure your child eats a full breakfast each morning. Make sure your child is at school each day. Make sure your child arrives at school on time each morning (by 8:10 so they can eat breakfast!). Do not schedule any appointments during school hours for your child during the test week. Support your child by asking them about the test each evening. Display a positive attitude when discussing the test with your child and let them know that they need to do their best! Avenue City School has a long-standing tradition of doing well on these tests.
