Watercolors-Prang are preferred they contain quality color pigment and last the longest. Depleted colors can be replaced with a refill at school, allowing a set to be used clear through high school. The cheaper brands, although often more colors, are of poor quality with little pigment and the student is unable to achieve the hues necessary for color mixing and quality work. Crayola are acceptable, but do not last as long. Markers-Crayons-Crayola brand are easily found, high quality product (not glitter). (Regular not washable markers, grades 2nd-8th). Roseart is inexpensive, but not a good quality art material. It does not work well in conjunction with quality paint for some assignments. Glue-Elmer’s has a lid closure that holds up very well. (Not “School Glue”). Scissors-Fiskars are best for young children and not nearly as frustrating when cutting fabric or types of paper. Erasers such as Sanford Magic Rub are the best |
