Student & Parent Night—A Great Success!

The Avenue City Parents as Teachers Program and ACES Reading Program teamed up to have a Parent & Child Fun Night at school April 1, 2004.

After enjoying pizza, the group enjoyed a lively presentation by Kay Goodman. Mrs. Goodman’s presentation, entitled “Hats” introduced the students (and parents) to creative thinking and taught all involved how to become an actor using imagination and a few simple props. The children were actively engaged throughout the entire presentation. The night was then finalized by a trip to the Scholastic Book Fair in the library where Clifford, the Big Red Dog, paid everyone a visit. The students were excited to see Clifford! Fun was had by all!
