The district will provide professional development opportunities to support improved teaching strategies/techniques and testing results. The district will review all curriculum guides and revise them to assure that there is clear alignment between the performance skills tested and the knowledge concepts taught at each grade level. Grade Level Expectations (GLEs) will be addressed. (Performance activities similar to those on the MAP test will be built into the curriculum.) The district will provide instruction and guided practice on test taking skills to all students and provide incentives and motivation for all to perform at their best. The district will develop and implement a plan to improve the reading ability of all students. The district will pursue offering additional classes including accelerated, remediation, dual credit, advanced placement and honors. |

All disaggregated groups will make Adequate Yearly Progress (AYP) on Communication Arts and Math MAP assessments. All disaggregated groups will make similar progress to the whole group on all Southern Boone MAP assessments.
How objective will be measured
A comparison of disaggregated groups and the state AYP goal in Communication Arts and Math MAP assessments will be made. Disaggregated groups on all Southern Boone MAP tests will be compared to the whole population taking the test.
