100 Book Award

We know that you and your child are reading many books at home and we have a very special award for your first grader. It is called, “The 100 Book Award”.  Please record the books your child reads on the reading list that is sent home. Return the list and we will keep track of the books on a reading incentive bulletin board. If you lose the list simply write the book titles on a piece of paper. (Ten books at a time) When your child reads 100 books, he or she will earn the award, which is given at the Primary Awards Assembly. We also have a “100 Book Party” which is enjoyed by the children. What a great way to promote reading at home and a lifelong love of reading! If you have questions or need appropriately leveled books for your child, please contact your child’s teacher.
