The board approved selling one of our oldest buses and declares it surplus property.
Update Substitute
List
The board approved an updated list of our substitute
teachers.
Superintendents Report
The superintendent reported on enrollment numbers and continues to watch the growing 1st grade numbers.
Johnny Thompson gave an update on the implementation of the Drug Testing Policy.
A reminder of parent teacher conferences was given by the principals.

CSIP Plan Review
Charlotte Miller, superintendent reviewed our CSIP (Comprehensive School Improvement Plan).
Old Business
Charlie Oestreich from Septagon gave a final report on the
completion of the
New Business
403B Gatekeeper
Services
A recommendation and approval was granted to contract with
Gatekeeper for the implementation of our 403B Services. New regulations have been enacted by Congress
that impact schools.
Executive Session
The principals reviewed the performance of new teachers as well as giving information on staff that are working on improvement.
Work Session
Mike Deane from Mitchell and Hugeback as well as Chris Davis
from Peckham and Wright facilitated a discussion for future facility planning
with our district.
Participation also included Charlie Oestreich from Septagon, and the administrators. They reviewed our current long range plan and gave feedback on the accomplishments and identified future needs.
The board determined a priority to be given on improving the middle school and to bring the old elementary building and the middle school to current standard. The architects will begin some preliminary work to determine needs and estimated costs associated with this project.
In addition, Charlotte Miller is working to determine the financial capacity of the district as it related to facility planning.
